Biography of Jérôme Lalande

Jérôme Lalande (* 11. July 1732 in Bourg-en-Bresse; † 4. April 1807 in Paris) was a französischer Mathematiker und Astronom. He was 74 years old. His education included Collège de France, Fénelon - La Trinité School and University of Paris. He worked at Collège de France. His faith was atheism. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society, Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and 72 names on the Eiffel Tower. He was buried at Père Lachaise Cemetery.
