Biography of Jerzy Łoś

Jerzy Łoś (* 22. March 1920 in Lviv; † 1. June 1998 in Warsaw) was a polnischer Mathematiker. He was 78 years old. He was married to Maria W. Łoś and Maria Dux. His education included Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, University of Wrocław and Lviv University. He worked at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Polish Academy of Sciences, University of Wrocław and University of Warsaw. His awards include Knight of the Order of Polonia Restituta and Medal of Wacław Sierpiński. He was buried at cremation.
