Biography of Jewgeni Fjodorowitsch Gross

Jewgeni Fjodorowitsch Gross (* 8. October 1897 in Kolpino; † 4. April 1972 in Saint Petersburg) was a sowjetischer Physiker. He was 74 years old. He studied at Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Saint Petersburg University. He worked at Vavilov State Optical Institute JSC, Saint Petersburg State University, Institute of Silicate Chemistry named after IV Grebenshchikov, V. A. Fock Institute of Physics and Ioffe Institute. His awards include Stalin Prize, 2nd degree, Order of Lenin and Lenin Prize. He was buried at Cemetery in Komarovo.
