Biography of Jewgeni Petrowitsch Tschelyschew

Jewgeni Petrowitsch Tschelyschew (* 27. October 1921 in Moscow; † 13. July 2020 in Moscow) was a russischer Indologe und Hochschullehrer. He was 98 years old. His education included Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering, Gagarin Air Force Academy and Military Institute of Foreign Languages. He worked at Military Institute of Foreign Languages, Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Division of Historical and Philological Sciences and Institute of Heritage. He received 10 awards, including Zhukov Medal, Medal "For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945". He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
