Biography of Jiří Bělohlávek

Jiří Bělohlávek (* 24. February 1946 in Prague; † 31. May 2017 in Prague) was a czech conductor. He was 71 years old. His education included Academy of Performing Arts, Prague Conservatory and Brno Conservatory. He received 5 awards, including Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Czech Medal of Merit, 1st class. His cause of death was cancer. He was buried at Vyšehrad cemetery.
