Biography of Joan Metge

Joan Metge (* 21. February 1930 in Auckland; † 17. September 2025 in Auckland) was a neuseeländische Sozialanthropologin, spezialisiert in Māori. She was 95 years old. Her education included London School of Economics and Political Science and University of Auckland. She received 5 awards, including Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Te Rangi Hiroa Medal.
