Joan Solà i Cortassa (* 10. January 1940 in Bell-lloc d'Urgell; † 27. October 2010 in Barcelona) was a spanischer Linguist, Romanist und Katalanist. He was 70 years old. His education included University of Barcelona, University of Reading and University of Exeter. He worked at University of Barcelona, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Association of Teachers Rosa Sensat and Escola del CIC. He received 4 awards, including Saint George's Cross, Premi d'Honor de les Lletres Catalanes. His cause of death was cancer.
