Biography of Joaquín Sorolla

Joaquín Sorolla (* 27. February 1863 in Valencia; † 10. August 1923 in Madrid) was a spanischer Maler. He was 60 years old. He was married to Clotilde García del Castillo. He had at least 2 children (1 son and 1 daughter). He studied at Reial Acadèmia de Belles Arts de Sant Carles de València. He received 4 awards, including Grand cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso XII, Knight of the Legion of Honour. He was buried at General Cemetery of Valencia.
