Biography of John Atta Mills

John Evans Atta Mills (* 21. July 1944 in Tarkwa; † 24. July 2012 in Accra) was a sixth President of the Republic of Ghana. He was 68 years old. He was married to Ernestina Naadu Mills. His education included University of Ghana, Achimota School, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, London School of Economics and Political Science, Huni Valley Senior High School and Komenda College of Education. His faith was Methodism. His awards include Fulbright Scholarship, Order of the Star of Ghana and Order of the Volta. His cause of death was laryngeal cancer. He was buried at Asomdwee Park.
