John B. Goodenough (* 25. July 1922 in Jena; † 25. June 2023 in Austin) was an american materials scientist. He was 100 years old. His education included Yale University and University of Chicago. He received 10 awards, including Fellow of the American Physical Society, honorary doctor of the University of Bordeaux. He was buried at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
