John Edward Gray (* 12. February 1800 in Walsall; † 7. March 1875 in London) was a britischer Zoologe und erster Philatelist der Welt. He was 75 years old. He worked at British Museum. His awards include Roll of Distinguished Philatelists and Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society Te Apārangi. He was buried at Church of St Mary the Virgin, Lewisham.
