Biography of John Lighton Synge

John Lighton Synge (* 23. March 1897 in Dublin; † 30. March 1995 in Dublin) was an irisch-kanadischer Physiker und Mathematiker. He was 98 years old. He was married to Elizabeth Eleanor Mabel Allen. He had at least 2 children (2 daughters). His education included Trinity College, Dublin and St. Andrew's College. He worked at University of Toronto, Trinity College, Dublin, Carnegie Institute of Technology and Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. His awards include Fellow of the Royal Society, Henry Marshall Tory Medal and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
