John Shalikashvili (* June 27, 1936 in Warsaw; † July 23, 2011 in Madigan Army Medical Center) was an united States general. He was 75 years old. His education included Peoria High School, Bradley University, Elliott School of International Affairs, Naval War College and United States Army War College. His awards include Presidential Medal of Freedom and Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
