Biography of John McCarthy

John McCarthy (* 4. September 1927 in Boston; † 24. October 2011 in Stanford) was an american computer scientist and cognitive scientist. He was 84 years old. He was married to Vera Watson. His education included California Institute of Technology, Princeton University and Belmont High School. His faith was atheism. He received 10 awards, including Turing Award, Benjamin Franklin Medal. His cause of death was myocardial infarction. He was buried at Alta Mesa Memorial Park.
