John Cornforth (* September 7, 1917 in Sydney; † December 8, 2013 in Brighton) was an australian-British chemist. He was 96 years old. He was married to Rita Harradence. His education included University of Sydney, St Catherine's College, Sydney Boys High School and University of Oxford. He received 7 awards, including Fellow of the Royal Society, Copley Medal. He was buried at Clayton Wood Natural Burial Ground.
