Josef Schleifstein (* 15. March 1915 in Łódź; † 24. July 1992 in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe) was a deutscher marxistischer Philosoph und Politiker (DKP), MdV (Kulturbund). He was 77 years old. He worked at Leipzig University. He received 4 awards, including Patriotic Order of Merit in Silver, honorary doctor of the Leipzig University. He was buried at Jüdischer Friedhof Köln-Bocklemünd.
