Jozef Tiso (* 13. October 1887 in Bytča; † 18. April 1947 in Bratislava) was a slowakischer katholischer Priester, während des Zweiten Weltkrieges Staatspräsident des autonomen Staates Slowakei. He was 59 years old. He studied at University of Vienna. His faith was Catholic Church. He was awarded the Order of the German Eagle. His cause of death was hanging to death. He was buried at St. Emmeram's Cathedral, Nitra.
