Biography of Juri Alexandrowitsch Filiptschenko

Juri Alexandrowitsch Filiptschenko (* 1. February 1882 in Bolkhovsky District; † 19. May 1930 in Saint Petersburg) was a sowjetischer Genetiker. He was 48 years old. His education included Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of the Saint Petersburg University and S. M. Kirov Military Medical Academy. He worked at Saint Petersburg State University. He was awarded the scientific prize from Russian Academy of Science. His cause of death was meningitis. He was buried at Smolenskoye Orthodox Cemetery.
