Biography of Juri Wassiljewitsch Prochorow

Juri Wassiljewitsch Prochorow (* 15. December 1929 in Moscow; † 16. July 2013 in Moscow) was a russischer Mathematiker. He was 83 years old. His education included MSU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Lomonosov Moscow State University and Bauman Moscow State Technical University. He worked at Steklov Institute of Mathematics, Lomonosov Moscow State University and National Research Nuclear University. His awards include Order of the Red Banner of Labour, Lenin Prize and Lomonosov Gold Medal. He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
