Biography of Kamau Brathwaite

Kamau Brathwaite (* 11. May 1930 in Bridgetown; † 4. February 2020 in Barbados) was a barbadischer Schriftsteller, Dichter, Historiker, Dramaturg und Kulturtheoretiker. He was 89 years old. His education included Pembroke College and University of Sussex. He worked at New York University and University of the West Indies. He received 7 awards, including Guggenheim Fellowship, Cholmondeley Award.
