Biography of Kanō Jigorō

Kanō Jigorō (* 10. December 1860 in Kobe; † 4. May 1938 in at sea) was a begründer der Kampfkunst Jūdō. He was 77 years old. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Nishogakusha University, Tokyo University and collège Mathias Grunewald de Guebwiller. He worked at Fifth High School, Tokyo Higher Normal School, Gakushūin, Toyo University, First Higher School, Kobun Institute and Kōdōkan. He received 9 awards, including Order of the Rising Sun, 3rd class, Order of the Rising Sun, 1st class. His cause of death was pneumonia.
