Biography of Karl Ferdinand Werner

Karl Ferdinand Werner (* 21. February 1924 in Neunkirchen; † 9. December 2008 in Tegernsee) was a deutscher Historiker. He was 84 years old. His education included Heidelberg University and École pratique des hautes études. He worked at University of Mannheim, Heidelberg University, School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences and German Historical Institute Paris. He received 4 awards, including Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, CNRS silver medal.
