Biography of Karl Menger

Karl Menger (* 13. January 1902 in Vienna; † 5. October 1985 in Highland Park) was a österreichischer Mathematiker. He was 83 years old. His education included University of Vienna and Bundesgymnasium Döbling. He worked at University of Vienna, Harvard University, University of Notre Dame, Illinois Institute of Technology, Rice University and University of Amsterdam. He was awarded the Richard Lieben prize. He was buried at Graceland Cemetery.
