Biography of Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Lawrence Ferlinghetti (* 24. March 1919 in Yonkers; † 22. February 2021 in San Francisco) was an american artist, writer and activist. He was 101 years old. His education included University of Paris, Columbia University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Northfield Mount Hermon School and Riverdale Country School. He received 7 awards, including Janus Pannonius International Poetry Prize, Literarian Award for Outstanding Service to the American Literary Community. His cause of death was interstitial lung disease. He was buried at Bolinas.
