Lech Szaraniec (* 2. March 1940 in Iwanowice Duże; † 3. February 2026) was a polish historian, university teacher. He was 85 years old. His education included Higher School of Pedagogy in Katowice, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Silesia and Faculty of History of the Jagiellonian University. He was awarded the Officer of the Order of Polonia Restituta.
