Biography of Léon Foucault

Léon Foucault (* 18. September 1819 in Paris; † 11. February 1868 in Paris) was a französischer Physiker. He was 48 years old. His education included Collège Stanislas de Paris and Paris Medical Faculty. He worked at Journal des débats and Paris Observatory, PSL University. He received 4 awards, including Copley Medal, Foreign Member of the Royal Society. His cause of death was multiple sclerosis. He was buried at Montmartre Cemetery.
