Biography of Leonid Isaakowitsch Mandelstam

Leonid Isaakowitsch Mandelstam (* 4. May 1879 in Mogilev; † 27. November 1944 in Moscow) was a russischer Physiker. He was 65 years old. He had at least 1 child (1 son). His education included Odesa University and University of Strasbourg. He worked at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Imperial Novorossiia University, Central Radio Laboratory and Lebedev Physical Institute. He received 5 awards, including State Stalin Prize, 1st degree, Order of Lenin. His cause of death was cardiovascular disease. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
