Biography of Leslie Woods

Leslie Woods (* 6. December 1922 in Reporoa; † 15. April 2007 in Oxford) was a new Zealand mathematician. He was 84 years old. His education included University of Oxford, Merton College, University of Auckland, Balliol College, Balmoral School and Seddon Memorial Technical College. He worked at Royal New Zealand Air Force, Seddon Memorial Technical College, National Physical Laboratory, University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Balliol College and University of Oxford. His awards include Rhodes Scholarship and honorary doctor of the University of Auckland.
