Oléron Island
Luc Montagnier (* 18. August 1932 in Chabris; † 8. February 2022 in Neuilly-sur-Seine) was a french virologist and joint recipient of the Nobel Prize of Physiology or Medicine. He was 89 years old. He was married to Dorothea Ackerman. He had 3 children. His education included Science Faculty of Paris, University of Oxford and Collège René-Descartes (Châtellerault, Vienne). He received 10 awards, including Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour, Commander of the National Order of Merit. He was buried at Oléron Island.
