Biography of Margot Schmidt

Margot Schmidt (* 22. July 1932 in Coesfeld; † 24. March 2004 in Basel) was a deutsche Klassische Archäologin. She was 71 years old. Her education included University of Münster, University of Hamburg, University of Tübingen, University of Naples Federico II and University of Basel. She worked at University of Basel and Basel Museum of Ancient Art and Ludwig Collection. She was awarded the Travel Scholarship of the German Archaeological Institute. Her cause of death was cancer.
