Biography of Maryam Mirzakhani

Maryam Mirzakhani (* 12. May 1977 in Tehran; † 14. July 2017 in Stanford) was an iranian mathematician. She was 40 years old. She was married to Jan Vondrák. She had 1 child. Her education included Harvard University, Sharif University of Technology and Farzanegan School. She received 5 awards, including Clay Research Award, Ruth Lyttle Satter Prize in Mathematics. Her cause of death was breast cancer.
