Biography of Maurice René Fréchet

Maurice René Fréchet (* 2. September 1878 in Maligny; † 4. June 1973 in 14th arrondissement of Paris) was a französischer Mathematiker. He was 94 years old. His education included École Normale Supérieure, Lycée Buffon and Lycée Saint-Louis. He worked at University of Poitiers, University of Strasbourg, École Normale Supérieure, École pratique des hautes études and University of Provence - Aix-Marseille I. He received 8 awards, including Émile Picard Medal, Poncelet Prize. He was buried at Cimetière parisien de Bagneux.
