Michael Hartshorn (* 10. September 1936 in Keresley; † 15. December 2017 in Christchurch) was a british-New Zealand organic chemist. He was 81 years old. His education included Imperial College London and University College, Oxford. He worked at University of Canterbury. His awards include Hector Medal, Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry and Associate of the Royal College of Science.
