Michail Petrowitsch Simonow (* 19. October 1929 in Rostov-on-Don; † 4. March 2011 in Moscow) was a russian aircraft designer. He was 81 years old. His education included Platov South-Russian State Polytechnic University and Kazan State Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev. He received 10 awards, including USSR State Prize, Order of the Red Banner of Labour. He was buried at Novodevichy Cemetery.
