Mikhail Kalashnikov (* November 10, 1919 in Kurya; † December 23, 2013 in Izhevsk) was a soviet and Russian small arms designer. He was 94 years old. He was married to Yekaterina Kalashnikova. He had at least 1 child (1 son). He studied at Voroniha village secondary school. His faith was Eastern Orthodox Church. He was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd class. His cause of death was pulmonary embolism. He was buried at Federal Military Memorial Cemetery.
