Morton Smith (* 28. May 1915 in Philadelphia; † 11. July 1991 in New York City) was an uS-amerikanischer Historiker, Theologe und Hochschullehrer. He was 76 years old. His education included Harvard University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Harvard Divinity School and Harvard College. He worked at Brown University and Columbia University. He was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship. His cause of death was heart failure.
