American astronomer and principal in the Hubble Space Telescope project
Nancy Roman (* 16. May 1925 in Nashville; † 25. December 2018 in Germantown) was an american astronomer and principal in the Hubble Space Telescope project. She was 93 years old. Her education included Western High School, Swarthmore College and University of Chicago. Her awards include NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal, Maryland Women's Hall of Fame and Federal Woman's Award.
