Biography
Nils Christie (* February 24, 1928 in Oslo; † May 27, 2015 in Oslo) was a norwegian sociologist and criminologist. He was 87 years old. He was married to Hedda Giertsen. He studied at Berg Upper Secondary School. His awards include Fritt Ord Award, Fridtjof Nansen Award for outstanding research, historical-philosophical class and Prices of the Norwegian Association of Sociology.
