Biography of Octavia E. Butler

Octavia E. Butler (* 22. June 1947 in Pasadena; † 24. February 2006 in Lake Forest Park) was an american science fiction writer. She was 58 years old. Her education included Pasadena City College, California State University, Los Angeles and John Muir High School. She received 10 awards, including MacArthur Fellows Program, Nebula Award for Best Novel. Her cause of death was stroke. She was buried at Mountain View Cemetery and Mausoleum.
