Biography of Olivier Messiaen

Olivier Messiaen (* 10. December 1908 in Avignon; † 27. April 1992 in Clichy) was a französischer Komponist. He was 83 years old. He was married to Claire Delbos and Yvonne Loriod. He studied at Conservatoire de Paris. He worked at Conservatoire de Paris, École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot and Schola Cantorum de Paris. He received 10 awards, including Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour, Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was buried at Saint-Théoffrey.
