Biography of Otto Klemperer

Otto Klemperer (* 14. May 1885 in Wrocław; † 6. July 1973 in Zurich) was a deutscher Dirigent und Komponist. He was 88 years old. He was married to Johanna Geisler. He had at least 2 children (1 son and 1 daughter). His education included Berlin University of the Arts, Hoch Conservatory, Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory and Stern Conservatory. He received 4 awards, including Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts order, Knight Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was buried at Israelite Cemetery Upper Frisian Mountain.
