Biography of Pawel Romanowitsch Popowitsch

Pavel Popovich (* 5. October 1930 in Uzyn; † 29. September 2009 in Hurzuf) was a soviet cosmonaut. He was 78 years old. He was married to Marina Lawrentjewna Popowitsch. He studied at Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy. He received 8 awards, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of Lenin. His cause of death was stroke. He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
