Pierre Cabanes (* 23. December 1930 in Le Puy-en-Velay; † 13. June 2023 in Clermont-Ferrand) was a französischer Historiker und Archäologe. He was 92 years old. His education included University of Lyon, Faculty of Arts of Paris and Marie and Louis Pasteur University. He worked at University of Clermont-Ferrand (1896-1976), Paris Nanterre University and Blaise Pascal University (Clermont II). His awards include Officer of the Legion of Honour and Order of Skanderbeg.
