Biography of Pjotr Wassiljewitsch Basanow

Pjotr Wassiljewitsch Basanow (* 10. January 1923 in Golovinskiye Rameshki; † 4. September 2003 in Moscow) was a hero of the Soviet Union. He was 80 years old. His education included Kacha Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots, Gagarin Air Force Academy and Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. He received 5 awards, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of Lenin. He was buried at Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
