Biography of Prafulla Chandra Ray

Prafulla Chandra Ray (* 2. August 1861 in Jashore District; † 16. June 1944 in Kolkata) was a bengali chemist, educationist, poet, historian, industrialist and philanthropist. He was 82 years old. His education included University of Edinburgh, Presidency University, Vidyasagar College and Hare School. He worked at Presidency University. His awards include Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire, Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire and Knight Bachelor.
