Biography of René Pomeau

René Pomeau (* 20. February 1917 in Beautiran; † 26. February 2000 in Clamart) was a französischer Literaturhistoriker. He was 83 years old. His education included Lycée Thiers, École Normale Supérieure, University of Paris and Aix University. He worked at Paris-Sorbonne University - Paris IV, University of Toulouse (1896-1968), University of Bordeaux and University of Poitiers. He received 4 awards, including honorary doctorate of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Knight of the Legion of Honour.
