René Rémond (* 30. September 1918 in Lons-le-Saunier; † 14. April 2007 in 14th arrondissement of Paris) was a french historian and political economist. He was 88 years old. His education included Lycée Condorcet, École Normale Supérieure, Lycée Louis-le-Grand, Lycée Carnot and University of Paris. He received 8 awards, including Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour, Grand Cross of the National Order of Merit. He was buried at Père Lachaise Cemetery.
