Richard Adams (* 1710 in Newbury; † 1774 in Oxford) was an english novelist best known as the author of Watership Down. He was 64 years old. He was married to Barbara Elizabeth Acland. His education included Worcester College, Bradfield College and Horris Hill School. He received 5 awards, including Carnegie Medal, Guardian Children's Fiction Prize. His cause of death was hematopoietic system disease.
