Richard Smalley (* 6. June 1943 in Akron; † 28. October 2005 in Houston) was an american chemist. He was 62 years old. His education included Princeton University, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, Hope College, Southwest High School and Southwest Early College Campus. He received 10 awards, including Nobel Prize in Chemistry, John Scott Award. His cause of death was chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
