Biography of Robert Étienne

Robert Étienne (* 18. January 1921 in Mérignac; † 4. January 2009 in Bordeaux) was a französischer Althistoriker und Archäologe. He was 87 years old. His education included École Normale Supérieure, University of Bordeaux and École pratique des hautes études. He worked at Bordeaux Montaigne University, French School of Rome, University of Bordeaux and National Center for Scientific Research. He received 7 awards, including Broquette-Gonin prize, Prix Thérouanne.
